Release Q&A - "The One" - Released April 29th, 2022

Here are some notes about how "The One" came to be.  Look for it on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, etc.

When was "The One" written?

The song was actually written quite a few years ago and recorded in an unreleased version similar to "Just Let It Go".  As I was running through short recorded clips of my latest song ideas, I came across a guitar line that spoke to me.  I started working with it and realized that it worked with the verses of my old version of "The One".  That guitar line became the intro guitar and inspired me to remake the song with a new vibe.

What was the inspiration behind "The One"?

It's a song about love, doubt, and taking chances for both people involved.   There are definitely personal connections for me, but it's also universal.  We all bring some baggage to our relationships and we have to work together in order to get past it.

Who contributed to the writing and recording?

The song is written and performed by me.  It was recorded and mixed in my home studio.  Adam Kagan did the mastering for me.  Adam has been great to work with and really provides a set of seasoned ears for feedback and final touches.

There are also numerous people who listened to pre-released versions and provided me with great feedback.  Thanks to all of you (I know how much of a pain I can be!).

Enjoy "The One"!

Cheers,

TMC
