Born and raised in Western New York, Todd Michael Chapman is a rust-belt inspired rock singer/songwriter. His music has been characterized as rock and blues guitars with modern country-influenced melodies. 

Todd received his first guitar around age 7 as a gift from his aunt, learned his first chords from his bass-playing cousin, and began writing songs in his early teens. Todd sang his way through high school, involved in his school’s select chorus and multiple church folk groups.  As a high school senior, he began playing clubs in and around Buffalo, NY. By age 19 he’d recorded some of his original songs with one receiving airplay on 97 Rock, a local Buffalo radio station which sponsored a weekly local music hour.

Todd continued playing Western New York clubs until his mid-20's, when he put music on the back burner and moved to Phoenix, AZ to focus on raising a family and building a career in technology. Traveling by airplane for his business career, he picked up harmonica to scratch his musical itch while on the road. It was through the harmonica, that he developed an affection for both blues and country music, which added to his melodic rock roots and songwriting influences.

While living in Phoenix, Todd connected with local musicians and continued writing and recording songs. In 2006, he moved back to Buffalo, NY and after playing a handful of gigs with local bands, he set up a studio in the basement of his home.  A hectic business travel schedule didn’t allow much time for creativity, but in 2020, with travel limited by the Covid 19 pandemic, Todd began writing again and revisiting some of his previous songs.  The results can be heard in his 2022 debut EP, “Now & Again”, aptly named as it combines newly written songs with rewrites of a few of his older compositions.
